FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the expected shipping time on my order?

We aim to dispatch your order as quickly as possible, but
please allow: -

SWEDEN  2-4 working days

EU 7-10 working days

REST OF WORLD 7-14 working days

Delays can be incurred due to customs clearance, or with the shipping company. These are unfortunately out of our hands.

What about if I want to return an item?

If you have received damaged or faulty goods, then we will
either replace them or credit you for the goods. The same applies if an
incorrect item was sent out, i.e. a different item to the one which was ordered.
We will refund your delivery charges.

Items will need to be sent back using a recorded postal
service. Only when the item/s are received by us can a refund be issued.

I have changed my mind about the purchase - what do I do?

If you simply do not like what you bought, then once you
have returned it, we will credit you for the order.

All goods must be returned within 30 days of receiving
the order. Goods must be returned unused and in an "as new" condition. Goods will need to be sent back using a recorded postal service, postal charges will not be reimbursed in this case.

Only when items have been received back can a refund be issued for the item(s) in question. Please ensure that the original packaging is kept and used for returns, no reimbursement will be made for replacement packaging
required if the original packaging has been destroyed.

Do Casström knives undergo any form of quality control?

We would say that Casström has one of the most rigorous
quality control regimes in the industry. Each individual knife is examined at
our Lapland base, and fine tuning carried out to handle or blade as required.
Only when we are satisfied that the knife meets Casström standards will we
release it for sale.

The high standard of fit-and-finish on our knives,
and extras like cryogenic treatment, hand finished handles, symmetrical blade grinds, and top-grade leather sheaths have built our reputation as one of Scandinavia's premium knife manufacturers.

Are your products sourced and manufactured ethically and sustainably?

Yes, and we work constantly to improve and fine tune all
aspects of the business with a view to sustainability. Our Swedish steels are recycled, and our wooden handles are made with wood from PEFC-certified
sustainable forestry.

We manufacture solely within the EU, and there are strict
regulations concerning fair and ethical employment, working conditions, and rates of pay for workers.

Where are your knives and leather goods made?

Exclusively in the EU. We source our steel and curly birch
from Scandinavia. Our leather is a by-product of meat and dairy farming in the
EU (mainly France and Germany). Our knives and leather goods are assembled in
Spain and Italy with small factories that we work closely with, then shipped
back to our base in Lapland where our workshop carries out the final inspection
and any fine tuning of the handle or grind to maintain our high standards.

Will I be paying customs duty or any other fees?

If you are ordering from outside Sweden or the EU, you may
be subject to import duties, taxes, or other customs fees upon delivery, depending on the regulations in your country. We recommend you checking with
your local customs office for more information prior to placing an order.

Laws regarding the sale of knives to your home country
